**For Catterfly Art Workshops, sometimes we use the reference image from internet to teach the methods and techniques of traditional art rather than copying the sample image. Traditional arts of India in general suffer from lack of documentation and copyright issues and Catterfly is helping the traditional artist to ensure that they get their dues. I love working with a palette knife because it doesn’t chase perfection. It celebrates depth, movement, and the beauty of imperfections. Every ridge of paint catches the light differently, just as every experience leaves its own mark on us.
For me, textures are more than a technique, they’re a language. They allow me to bring nature to life in a way that feels almost touchable. I want you to not only see the bird and flowers but to feel the breeze, the softness of the petals, and the energy of wings suspended in flight.

Module 1- Grid and Sketching- Map the composition with grid method and sketch the main shapes to place the Bird and Flowers. Block in the first layer of background, bird and flowers
Module 2- Work on Background with Texture- Create texture with warm and cool tones using knife
Module 3- Painting the bird - Blend in richer tones using brush and knife to createthe beautiful humming bird.
Module 4- Paint the Flowers and Add Final Touches - Create Flowers using knife and add final touches to painting
