Holy Cow Near river

In this workshop, we will make beautiful painting of Holy Cow in Gowardhan hills. Cows are an important part of Hindu mythology and play a significant role in the story of Krishna.

In the Pichwai painting tradition as well, cows play an important role as lord Krishna was a cowherd in the formative years of his life and pichwai in particular focuses on the events in Shri Krishna’s life as a seven year old. In Nathdwara people generally worship cows in gratitude for all that they provide, by bathing and decorating them and performing rituals for them.

This artwork is finished in 4 sessions of 1.30 hours each. . You can pace yourself depending on your skill and experience in sketching, detailing and coloring. Enjoy the making of the artwork and indulge in bringing your personal creations and customization to the artwork.

Materials Required

Materials required for this workshop are listed below:

A3 size Handmade/Thick Card/Drawing Paper (White Color) or Canvas
Colours - Black, Persian blue, White, Crimson, Scarlet red, Cobalt blue, Golden, Yellow ochre, Green ( viridian hue), Violet, Orange
Brushes - 1, 2, 4, 6, 10, 12 (round and flat both)
Bowl of water & rough cloth
