Kohbar In Madhubani Painting: Kohbar painting is a traditional art form in Maithil culture, created to bless a newlywed couple. Kohbar is a special marriage artwork painted on a wall during wedding ceremonies in the Mithila region. Women paint these to seek blessings from God and family members for the newlyweds. About the Master Artist

Catterfly National Awardee artist for Madhubani Art, Mrs. Hema Devi comes from a family of Madhubani artists. Her mother Leela Devi and mother-in-law Subhadhra Devi are also national award winners. Apart from practicing the craft, she also teaches students the techniques of paper mache and Madhubani Art.
