About the workshop

Create a beautiful "Tree of Life with Birds and Deer " in Madhubani painting. Learn from our native master artist, Ms. Hema Devi, a national award-winning artist from Bihar. She will teach the techniques and motifs of the art form and help you create a beautiful painting characterized by its bold colours and intricate designs.

Madhubani Painting - Madhubani painting, originating from Bihar, India, is a traditional folk art known for its vibrant colors and intricate patterns. Artists use natural dyes and depict Hindu mythology, nature, and daily life scenes. The paintings often feature bold outlines and geometric shapes, creating a unique and visually striking style. Madhubani art has gained international recognition for its cultural richness and storytelling through vivid visuals.

Tree of Life with Birds and Deer: This exquisite Madhubani painting depicts the Tree of Life, a timeless symbol of growth, prosperity, harmony, and the interconnectedness of all living beings. The majestic tree is filled with colorful birds resting among its intricately patterned branches, representing peace, freedom, and the richness of nature. Beneath the tree, a graceful group of deer symbolizes gentleness, abundance, and the balance between wildlife and the natural world. At the bottom of the composition, vibrant fish swim through flowing water, signifying fertility, good fortune, and the continuous cycle of life. The artwork is enriched with bold black outlines, detailed geometric patterns, decorative borders, and bright natural colors that are distinctive features of the traditional Madhubani painting style. Every element of the painting is carefully designed with repetitive motifs and fine line work, reflecting the exceptional craftsmanship and storytelling tradition of Mithila folk art. This beautiful composition celebrates the beauty of nature, the coexistence of all creatures, and the cultural heritage of Madhubani painting while conveying a message of peace, prosperity, and ecological harmony.
