"Divine Play on the Swing: Radha-Krishna's Jhulan Leela ":
The painting titled "Divine Play on the Swing: Radha-Krishna’s Jhulan Leela" captures a deeply spiritual and joyful episode from Hindu mythology, where Lord Krishna and Radha engage in the playful ritual of swinging, known as Jhulan Leela. This event, celebrated during the monsoon months, symbolizes divine love, union with nature, and the rhythmic harmony of the cosmos. The painting is rendered in the traditional Kerala mural art style, marked by its vivid colors, intricate ornamentation, and symbolic depiction of flora, fauna, and celestial beings. Krishna and Radha are depicted at the center, seated gracefully on a swing adorned with jasmine garlands, surrounded by gopis (cowherd maidens) who share in their joy and devotion.
The composition radiates bliss, harmony, and the spiritual ecstasy of bhakti (devotion), as every element—from the peacocks and lotus flowers to the musical instruments—contributes to the divine ambiance. The artwork reflects not just romance, but also cosmic balance and the ideal of spiritual surrender. It draws the viewer into the emotional depth of Radha and Krishna's eternal love, portrayed as the union of the individual soul (jivatma) with the supreme (paramatma).

Saju's artwork serves as a catalyst for deeper cultural understanding and appreciation, inviting viewers to reflect on the significance of Kerala's diverse heritage and the ongoing contributions of its tribal communities to the region's cultural landscape.
